The writing tool I chose is MindMeister (https://www.mindmeister.com/). MindMeister is free and is also available in a mobile app. MindMeister has three ways it can be used: mind mapping, collaborating and presentations. The mind-mapping will help a writer organize his/her thoughts. This is also an efficient way to collaborate on a paper or project with other people. You can share your mind map with as many people as needed. If you chose the presentation mode, you can turn your mind map into a slide show to share. One of the best features of this tool is that it requires no installations or plugins so you can use it with any browser.
Since I will be in elementary, I wouldn't use this tool for collaborating or presentations just yet. I would focus more on the mind mapping part of this tool. I think this would be a great tool for students to utilize before beginning to write a story. This would allow the students to organize their thoughts and the timeline of events for their story.
Hello. The writing tool, MindMeister, sounds like it would be a great tool for organizing thoughts. I think that it would be good to use in my classroom. It could help students organize information presented in Math class. Then they could share their information with the class. Technically, I could give each student a different chapter to mind-map, and their presentations would be a great way to review for a test. From your picture, it looks like you can color code things in MindMeister. That seems like it would help students organize information more effectively. It would definitely be a great tool to have students use before they start to write a story. I'm glad that the writing tool is free. I will probably use it in the future.
